Mudular 21700 battery cell spacer tile
By Byteworks
4x4 honeycomb 21700 cell holder tile with thick 5.5 mm walls and half-cell cradles on all four edges. Dovetail tabs on its right edge (three) and top edge (four, including one near each corner) and matching through-sockets on its left and bottom edges let identical tiles click together with no separate clips. Shown as a 2x2 block.
Prompt that made this
A modular honeycomb battery holder tile for 21700 Li-ion cells (21 mm diameter, 70 mm long). Each tile is a hexagonal-packed grid of cell cradles, with each cell bore about 21.5 mm in diameter for clearance and open at both ends so the cells sit upright. Pack the cells as tightly as possible in a honeycomb arrangement, with about 1.5 mm walls between neighboring bores. Make the tile outline hexagonal around each cell so tiles nest edge to edge. Add interlocking snap or dovetail tabs and matching slots on the outer edges so several tiles can be clicked together into a larger pack. Include a 4x4 cell tile as the default size, with a 6 mm-tall base flange or solid bottom plate to hold the cells upright. Reference the photo: it shows a black honeycomb cell holder with hex-shaped cell cradles arranged in offset rows, and side tabs that interlock between adjacent pieces. Match that layout and interlocking style.

Why this one
Modular holder that keeps 21700 Li-ion cells upright in a tight honeycomb pack, tiles joining edge to edge into larger packs.
Each cell drops through a 21.5 mm bore in the 6 mm flange. Thick hex walls separate neighbouring cells. Half-cell cradles on all four edges pair with the neighbouring tile, a plain copy with no offset, to form full round cell spots at every seam. Dovetail tabs on the right and top edges of each tile drop into dovetail sockets on the left and bottom edges of its neighbours and lock the tiles against separating in the plane.
