Three arm fidget spinner

By Byteworks

Three-arm fidget spinner, 7 mm thick, 75 mm tip to tip, shown assembled: the centre seat now holds a real ball bearing (outer race, inner race and seven loose balls), and two 22 mm finger caps clamp the inner race and screw into each other through the 8 mm bore.

Prompt that made this

Three-arm fidget spinner. A 22 mm hole in the centre for a 608 bearing (22 × 7 mm), three rounded arms 75 mm tip to tip, each ending in a 22 mm pocket for another 608 bearing as a weight, 7 mm thick overall. Plus two separate finger caps, 22 mm across, with a 8 mm peg that pushes into the centre bearing.

Why this one

Desk fidget spinner printed in FDM, using a 608 bearing as the centre bearing and 608 bearings as arm weights.

The centre bearing (outer race pressed into the hub seat, balls rolling in the gap, inner race on the 8 mm pegs) lets the spinner body turn freely. Two finger caps clamp the inner race from both faces: each collar rests on the inner race and each 8 mm peg fits the bore. Cap A's M4 male thread screws into cap B's M4 female thread inside the bore, so the caps and inner race stay fixed while the spinner body and outer race spin around them. The three arm bearings add rotational inertia.
