Rover chassis
By Byteworks
3D-printable four-motor rover chassis: a 180x120x4 plate with four half-saddles at the corners, BTS7960 and ESP32 standoff pads, a 150x60 battery tray with strap slots and 3.5 mm vents, plus a separate lid that carries the matching half-bore caps over each saddle to clamp the motors.
Prompt that made this
A 3D-printable chassis for a small off-road 4-wheel rover that carries an ESP32 dev board, a BTS7960 motor driver module, and four JGA25-370 12V gear motors (approx. 25 mm gearbox diameter, roughly 70 mm long including gearbox, 6 mm D-shaft). Make a flat base plate about 180 mm long by 120 mm wide and 4 mm thick, with a wheelbase of about 150 mm and a track width of about 130 mm. Add four motor mounts, each a 25 mm bore saddle or clamp with two M3 screw tabs, positioned so the motor shafts stick out sideways through the chassis for wheel mounting. Add a mounting pad for the BTS7960 module with M3 holes on a 43 x 45 mm pattern, and a mounting pad for the ESP32 dev board (about 55 x 28 mm) with M3 standoff holes. Include a battery tray about 150 x 60 mm with a strap slot, and a few 3.5 mm ventilation slots near the driver. Use 3 mm walls, M3 clearance holes throughout, and make all dimensions parametric.

Why this one
Chassis for a small off-road 4-wheel rover carrying an ESP32, a BTS7960 driver and four JGA25-370 gear motors, with a lid that locks the motors in place
Each motor lies in a half-bore saddle on the base plate. The lid carries the matching half-bore cap above each saddle, and M3 screws through the tabs clamp the motor between them, with shafts pointing sideways to the wheels. The electronics sit on M3 standoffs and the battery sits in the open tray under a strap. The lid is also screwed to four posts over the electronics.
