Honeycomb Storage Wall planner
Enter your wall and print bed. See how many Honeycomb Storage Wall cells and tiles it takes, how they split, and about how much filament you'll need.

Good to know
Plan the wall before you start printing: a bed-sized tile rarely divides your wall evenly, and the half-row shift between columns takes up height you might not expect. The grid here is the one Voloom's HSW parts hang on.
How it works
- 1Enter your wall's width and height in millimetres.
- 2Enter your printer's bed size. The tile count follows it.
- 3Read off the cells, tiles and filament, with the tiles drawn in turn so you can see the joins.
Honeycomb Storage Wall dimensions
Each cell is 20 mm across its flats, with flats at the top and bottom, in a tube with 1.8 mm walls, 8 mm deep. Rows are 23.6 mm apart.
Columns are 20.44 mm apart and shifted half a row, so a part with two columns of plugs has them 40.88 mm apart.
A wall with more than one column needs half a row of extra height for that shift. The planner counts it.
Where the filament figure comes from
It's the cells' walls, solid, in PLA at 1.24 g/cm³: about 1.35 g a cell. It leaves out any step inside the cell, edge borders and failed prints, so check your slicer and buy a bit more.
Questions
- Is the planner free?
- Yes, with no account or file. It runs in your browser.
- Where do I get the tiles?
- From the original Honeycomb Storage Wall by RostaP on Printables, which is CC-BY-NC, or one of its remixes. Voloom doesn't generate tiles, only parts that hang on them.
- Will my tiles match these numbers?
- Most tiles follow the original grid, but some remixes don't. Measure yours before you rely on this for a tight wall.
