Name keychain generator

Make a name keychain for 3D printing: type a name, pick a font, and the plate follows the letters with a key-ring hole. Download the STL or 3MF free.

Need more than sizes?

A logo beside the name, a second line, a bottle opener or a phone stand built in. Describe it, and Voloom builds it from your sizes.

Describe the rest

Good to know

The plate and the letters are separate parts: the 3MF keeps them apart so a multi-colour printer prints each in its own filament, and on a single-colour printer you can pause at the top of the plate and swap. A plate of 2.5 mm with letters 1.5 mm proud is a sturdy keychain in PLA or PETG; a long name shrinks to fit the length you set.

How it works

  1. 1Set the sizes and pick the options: font, plate, and key ring. The name keychain rebuilds when you let go of a slider.
  2. 2Turn it in the preview and check the overall size.
  3. 3Download the STL or 3MF, one file per part, and slice it.

What you can change

Letter height: 6 to 25 mm.

Longest name: 30 to 140 mm.

Border round the letters: 1.5 to 8 mm.

Plate thickness: 1.5 to 5 mm.

Letters raised by: 0.6 to 4 mm.

Ring hole: 3 to 8 mm.

Font: Atkinson Hyperlegible, Archivo Black, Bebas Neue, Space Mono, Zilla Slab, Stardos Stencil, Black Ops One, Pacifico, Bungee, Russo One, Righteous, Permanent Marker, or Saira Stencil One.

Plate: Follows the letters, Rounded rectangle, or Pill.

Key ring: Left, Right, Top, or No ring.

Name: up to 24 characters.

When sizes are not enough

This is a real parametric model, built on a CAD kernel, not a mesh stretched to fit. Walls stay the thickness you set when the name keychain grows.

For anything the sliders do not cover, such as ports in the right places, mounting holes, text or a logo, describe it to Voloom. It starts from these sizes and builds the part from scratch.

About STL

STL (Stereolithography). The default 3D printing format since 1987: a bare list of triangles. Every slicer reads it, but it has no units, no color, and no parts.

Units: None in the file. Slicers read the numbers as millimeters. Up axis: Z. Opens in Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura, OrcaSlicer, and Blender.

Questions

Is the name keychain generator free?
Yes. You get 3 runs a month without an account. Sign in with your email, free, and there is no limit.
Do I need an account?
No. Change the sizes and preview as much as you like. Downloads count toward the free runs; signing in, free, removes the limit.
Can I add cutouts, holes or a logo to the name keychain?
Yes. Use “Describe the rest” under the preview. Voloom takes your sizes into a prompt, you add what you need in plain words, and it builds a new parametric model you can keep editing.
Can I get a STEP file?
Yes, from the editor. Open your name keychain in Voloom and download STEP on the Maker plan, for Fusion, SolidWorks or FreeCAD.
