Need more than sizes?

Snap-fit lid instead of screws, cutouts for USB, HDMI or a display, a wall-mount flange, your name on the lid. Describe it, and Voloom builds it from your sizes.

Describe the rest

Good to know

Enter the board and its mounting-hole spacing; the box grows around it. The board sits on four hollow standoffs sized for M2.5 screws, and the lid screws to posts in the corners with countersunk M3 screws. The defaults fit a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 (85 × 56 mm, holes 58 × 49 mm apart). Vent slots run through both long walls, the cable port is in one end.

How it works

  1. 1Set the sizes and pick the options: vents, and cable port. The electronics enclosure rebuilds when you let go of a slider.
  2. 2Turn it in the preview and check the overall size.
  3. 3Download the STL or 3MF, one file per part, and slice it.

What you can change

Board length: 20 to 220 mm.

Board width: 15 to 200 mm.

Holes apart, along: 5 to 210 mm.

Holes apart, across: 5 to 190 mm.

Holes in from the end: 2 to 20 mm.

Standoff height: 2 to 20 mm.

Room above the board: 8 to 100 mm.

Room around the board: 1 to 10 mm.

Wall thickness: 1.6 to 4 mm.

Vent slots: 1 to 25.

Vent height: 4 to 60 mm.

Port width: 3 to 120 mm.

Port height: 3 to 60 mm.

When sizes are not enough

This is a real parametric model, built on a CAD kernel, not a mesh stretched to fit. Walls stay the thickness you set when the electronics enclosure grows.

For anything the sliders do not cover, such as ports in the right places, mounting holes, text or a logo, describe it to Voloom. It starts from these sizes and builds the part from scratch.

About STL

STL (Stereolithography). The default 3D printing format since 1987: a bare list of triangles. Every slicer reads it, but it has no units, no color, and no parts.

Units: None in the file. Slicers read the numbers as millimeters. Up axis: Z. Opens in Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura, OrcaSlicer, and Blender.

Questions

Is the electronics enclosure generator free?
Yes. You get 3 runs a month without an account. Sign in with your email, free, and there is no limit.
Do I need an account?
No. Change the sizes and preview as much as you like. Downloads count toward the free runs; signing in, free, removes the limit.
Can I add cutouts, holes or a logo to the electronics enclosure?
Yes. Use “Describe the rest” under the preview. Voloom takes your sizes into a prompt, you add what you need in plain words, and it builds a new parametric model you can keep editing.
Can I get a STEP file?
Yes, from the editor. Open your electronics enclosure in Voloom and download STEP on the Maker plan, for Fusion, SolidWorks or FreeCAD.
