Convert SVG to STL

Turn an SVG logo or shape into a 3D printable STL. Set the width and thickness, preview it, and download. Runs in your browser.

Good to know

Filled shapes are extruded; open strokes are skipped, because a line has no area. If the logo has holes, the holes stay holes. For text, convert it to outlines in your editor first.

How it works

  1. 1Drop an SVG in the box above. Logos and icons with filled shapes work best.
  2. 2Set the width and the thickness in millimeters.
  3. 3Download the STL and slice it. Print it flat, face up.

Getting a good result

Every filled path becomes a solid. Holes inside a letter or a ring stay open.

Strokes are lines with no area, so they are skipped. In Illustrator or Inkscape, use Object to Path and Stroke to Path first.

For a sign or a nameplate, a thickness of 2 to 4 mm prints cleanly with a 0.4 mm nozzle.

About STL

STL (Stereolithography). The default 3D printing format since 1987: a bare list of triangles. Every slicer reads it, but it has no units, no color, and no parts.

Units: None in the file. Slicers read the numbers as millimeters. Up axis: Z. Opens in Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura, OrcaSlicer, and Blender.

Questions

Is the SVG to STL converter free?
Yes. You get 3 runs a month without an account. Sign in with your email, free, and there is no limit.
Is my SVG uploaded?
No. The file is read and converted in your browser. It never reaches our servers.
Why is part of my SVG missing?
Only filled shapes are extruded. Convert strokes and text to outlines in your editor, then try again.
Can I add the logo to a part?
Yes. Upload the SVG to Voloom with a prompt, such as “a keychain with this logo raised 1 mm”, and it builds the part around it.
